Pierce Aerospace And Redwing Labs Team For Global Drone Delivery

Partnership Will Focus On Medical Deliveries By Long-Range Aircraft

Pierce Aerospace, a U.S. based Remote ID UAS Service Supplier (RID-USS), and Redwing Labs, a Bengaluru, India based drone delivery company, have announced a partnership to advance global medical drone deliveries.

The partnership combines the strengths of Pierce Aerospace’s Remote Identification expertise and technologies and Redwing Labs' long-distance drone delivery aircraft and operations.

"I am happy to see Redwing Labs and Pierce Aerospace combining efforts to advance medical drone delivery around the world. As a former volunteer EMT, I have been a proponent of the potential of drones in the medical field and I see amazingly capable talent in Redwing Labs," said aron Pierce, CEO Pierce Aerospace. "Applying Remote ID to these flights expands the scope of airborne medical operations even further, helping patients obtain greater and faster access to healthcare when it is needed most.”

"Pierce Aerospace's Remote ID technology is essential to enable safe and scalable BVLOS operations for social and commercial purposes. Redwing’s experience with drone delivery combined with Pierce Aerospace's Remote ID technology is an important milestone for repetitive commercial deliveries," said Anshul Sharma, Co-founder of Redwing Labs. "We're proud to partner up with them to serve our customers by providing quality healthcare services."

The team is developing a drone sandbox for the UNAIDS Innovations Exchange where Redwing Labs facilitates the delivery of medical goods within a 50KM radius with their long-range drones while Pierce Aerospace provides Remote ID to the aircraft and additional partners operating within the sandbox. Redwing Labs has already demonstrated some of these components in Papua New Guinea and now is building capacity towards increasing adoption of drone deliveries across the globe.

In this partnership, the companies are addressing the economic and social potential of drone technology which can be harnessed by enabling beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations with Remote ID.

Through these joint efforts, both companies grow their footprints and expand capabilities in North America, Africa, and India.

Redwing Labs was a part of Techstars inaugural Bangalore Accelerator program. Aaron Pierce, CEO of Pierce Aerospace, was the Entrepreneur in Residence for the Techstars Autonomous Technology Accelerator with the U.S. Air Force - the first-ever joint U.S. Government and private sector accelerator program.
