Increases Third Party MRO Capabilities And Capacity, Company Says
VIH Aerospace (VIHA), a leading provider of helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services announces the acquisition of two additional Bell 407 helicopters to its growing portfolio of assets.
“We have developed and are executing a very deliberate strategy to facilitate growth within VIH Aerospace that will serve to enable us to increase our third party MRO capabilities and capacity, while specifically enhancing our Bell 407 resources and ability to support operators of this helicopter type,” states Arne Arneson, General Manager of VIH Aerospace.
Arneson explains that up to this point, a key element of VIHA’s growth strategy had been to have available one complete Bell 407 aircraft; enabling VIHA to effectively support Bell 407 operators via a comprehensive component rental and overhaul program. Over the past year; the program has proven to be successful, and very popular throughout the Bell 407 operator community.
“With the acquisition of the two additional Bell 407s, VIH Aerospace now can extend its service to a wider range of operators. In addition to having a complete set of major components and drive train for our component rental and overhaul program, we now have two airworthy Bell 407 helicopters available for long-term lease or purchase.
VIHA also offers a comprehensive suite of services including: aircraft refurbishment/completions, structural repair, component overhaul, paint, avionics and electrical installations, modification and upgrades, scheduled inspections, product engineering, Supplemental Type Certificate Development and parts/special operations equipment sales.
Aircraft types supported by VIHA include Bell Helicopter 205/206/212/407/222/230; Sikorsky S-61 and S-92; and Airbus AS350
