PWI Expands LED Lineup for King Air, Falcon Aircraft

Additions to Catalog Bolster Nighttime Identification of Company Logos, Cleaner Interior Lighting

PWI Inc has expanded its cabin lighting lineup with the introduction of a PMA approved LED cabin light.

PWI has been the OEM supplier of the Beechcraft King Air's cabin lighting since its introduction, kicking off an enduring relationship between the two entities that continues to this day. Even now PWI continues to evolve and progress in making the aircraft a brighter, cleaner place with a range of cool running, low-draw LED lighting.

One recent addition to their catalog addresses a shortcoming of the King Air for those operators demanding better ground identification for their company or ID. The new (soon-to-be) PMA approved LED Logo Light allows owners to illuminate the starboard side of the tail for enhanced identification at night or in low visibility. It's a helpful aid to draw attention to company logos, charters, special mission, or AirMed insignia that requires minimal power draw and lifetime maintenance. In a similar vein, King Air operators can avail themselves of the new PWI Door Entry LED. The addition enhances the entryway of King Airs, adding flood lighting for the ground below the opened stairs, minimizing passenger risk as they transition from the stairs onto the pavement. Additional approvals in the King Air lineup include an Ice Light Window and Seat Belt/Smoking graphics. Some lighting products are available for similar turboprop business aircraft like the Pilatus PC-12.

This year, PWI is making a return to the company's earlier days with an expanded lineup of cabin lighting products for a range of business jets and working aircraft. The company has created a wholesale lighting replacement for the Dassault Falcon 900B. The 42-light LED system improves the aircraft's interior look and feel, modernizing the 'vibe' with updated white lights while doing away with finicky fluorescents. The Falcon 900B lighting upgrade is PMA approved, and will soon be followed by a series of Cessna Citation cabin LED upgrades in a similar vein for the 525, 550, 560, and 650.
