Aero-TV: Maturing The Redhawk Program-The Redbird Revolution Is Being Upgraded

The Redhawk Program Is Proving To Be Instructive... As Expected

While at the Redbird Migration 2014, ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, checked in
with Peter Vincent, the sales representative for Redhawk Aircraft.

The Redhawk aircraft is a uniquely modified Cessna Skyhawk that, among many other innovations, is powered by a diesel engine.

Campbell asked how this innovative airplane is working out in the flight training scenario at Redbird. Vincent said that Redbird is now an all diesel operation with 3 Redhawk’s on the line. He said students are learning to fly and taking their checkrides in the Redhawk airplanes. This has allowed Redbird to build documentation on how the airplane is operating and the cost savings incurred by using this unique training plane.

As Vincent describes the features of the airplane the video provides a good look at what this step forward in aviation training is like. When asked about how the airplane is working as a trainer, Vincent said it is working well and the students love the airplane. While it’s based on the venerable Cessna Skyhawk, it’s actually easier to operate, said Vincent.

Redbird is setting new trends in training and the Redhawk is major part of their innovative way to accomplish GA training. The video provides insight to training innovation and is something flight schools and students will enjoy watching. Red Bird and the Redhawk are setting new training standards.
