Also: Dallas Love Field, CAL FIRE Firehawks, Rotors ’N Ribs, Israeli Air Force F-35s

Robert Charles Jones Brady, owner of Beech Aviation, was sentenced in a US District Court to 7 years incarceration, 3 years supervised release, and a $400 special assessment fee for operating aircraft without an airman’s certificate, wire fraud, and falsification of records in a Federal investigation.

An investigation by the DOT OIG found that it in 2016, FAA revoked Brady’s pilot certificates; yet he continued to operate aircraft and was involved in multiple schemes to defraud the Government, airmen, and the flying public using single, multi, and jet engine aircraft. Brady defrauded student pilots by directing Beach Aviation employees to fraudulently endorse student pilot logbooks as if they were FAA-certified flight instructors (CFI). International Aerobatic Club member Boyd Birchler and his wife, Judy, are planning the adventure of a lifetime. They’re planning to fly their RV 7 around the perimeter of the United States – all 8,878 miles of it! They’ll be sharing stick time as they circumnavigate their way around the lower 48. Boyd was a regular around the Mid-America Regional contests flying competition and serving as an aerobatic judge in the 1990's and early 2000's. He flew an Eagle II in the Intermediate category and later spent many years building an Eagle 540. The pair plans on departing on the USA perimeter flight, pending weather, Sunday morning. Previously detailed in Aero-News, we’re pleased to note that Desert Jet Center has received a long-anticipated approval from Riverside County’s Board of Supervisors to resume construction of its upscale terminal facility. Desert Jet Center is located at the Jacqueline Cochran Airport in Palm Springs/Thermal, California (KTRM). The FBO has been operating from an interim facility located directly on the airport’s main arrival ramp since its opening in August 2016. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
