Alteon 737-800 Sim Certified In Mexico

DGAC Grants Level "D" Certification

Boeing's Alteon Training, working with Centro De Capacitacion Alas De America (ALAS), has received Mexican Direccion General De Aeronautical Civil (DGAC) Level "D" certification on its 737-800 full-flight simulator at the ALAS training center in Mexico City.

Alteon said the certification further expands its partnership with Aeromexico and ALAS, both of which are owned by the Cintra Group.  The 737-800 simulator joins the MD-82 simulator Alteon placed in August of 2000 to support Aeromexico's training needs.

"Locating simulators convenient to Aeromexico's home base supports its training goals in a cost-effective way and offers new training solutions to other airlines in the region," said Alteon President Pat Gaines.  "So far this year, Alteon has relocated six simulators, bringing new capacity to four countries and providing solutions that airlines in those regions didn't have before."
