Amid the disappointment of a complete recall of GoPro's Karma drone, there appears to be one silver lining. The company is offering a GoPro Hero5 Black Camera to customers who return their aircraft, as requested in the recall, in addition to receiving a complete refund.

About 2,500 people who had taken delivery of their Karma drones are eligible for the refunds. The company is offering the free camera as a goodwill gesture in the hopes that the buyers will not hold a grudge. The Hero5 has features like voice control, image stabilization, and improved audio quality. We don't yet have a lot of details, but homebuilder Jack Bally reportedly flew his Bally Bomber for the first time on Monday, November 14. The flight was reported on the EAA Homebuilder's Facebook page as follows: "On Monday, Nov 14, 2016, Jack Bally`s scale replica B-17 took to the air for the first time, completing a short flight from its home field to a local airport for continued flight tests. It has been a 17-year journey for Jack. We hope to see videos and photos posted soon. Congratulations Jack!" According to a report in the Air Force Times, it was announced last week that in an attempt to combat the ongoing shortage of fighter pilots, the Air Force will stand up two interim F-16 pilot training squadrons at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico. About 40 to 45 Fighting Falcons, plus 800 training and support staff airmen, are being relocated from Hill Air Force Base, Utah. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
