Texas Veterans Organizations Honor Northrop Grumman

"Disabled Veteran Employer Of The Year"

Northrop Grumman Corporation has been recognized as an exceptional employer in Texas by the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The American Legion named the Killeen office of Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector as the "Veterans Employer of the Year" at the state and national level. The Texas American Legion also recognized Mission Systems as the "Disabled Veterans Employer of the Year."

A New Beginning For Disabled Vets

About 40 percent of the 140 employees working in the company's Killeen office are disabled veterans. Mission Systems was also recently honored with an employment award from the Department of Texas Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).  As a winner, the company has been entered in the VFW's national competition. "Veterans, especially disabled veterans, form an exceptional recruitment pool in this area. They bring a dedication and work ethic that's beyond compare," said Ward Critz, a Northrop Grumman program manager based in Killeen, who accepted the American Legion award last week.

The American Legion selects the annual "National Veterans Employer of the Year" and "National Disabled Veterans Employer of the Year" from the organizations honored by each state. The American Legion will present awards to Killeen-based representatives of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems at its annual convention in St. Louis (MO)in August.
