RADIANT Technology Returns to AirVenture With New Products

Pilots and Adventurers Delight

RADIANT Technology, the resurgent aviation/adventuring concern that could be destroyed by neither appropriation, fire, nor pandemic, returns to AirVenture with a pair of new products and a third, potentially life-saving gadget of which circumspect aviators and adventurers will likely hasten to avail themselves.

Formerly part of Belite/Chipper Enterprises, RADIANT Technology specializes in digital avionics for light sport, experimental, and ultralight aircraft, as well as communication and navigation aids for hikers, anglers, hunters, and every other manner and subspecies of backcountry adventurer.

The first of RADIANT’s new products—the AirLite Pro Aircraft Scanner—represents a significant leap forward in air-band scanners and receivers. The device features simultaneous dual reception, finely adjustable squelch, and channel save and scanning capabilities. The AirLite Pro’s reception and audio-quality are top-notch, and will prove a boon to parties endeavoring to communicate in remote locations or stressful situations.

Second on RADIANT’s list of new offerings is the Flight Sensor Pack, which displays seven functioning instruments:

  • Artificial-horizon;
  • G-meter;
  • Variometer (showing instantaneous changes in pressure altitude in one-foot increments);
  • Vertical-speed indicator;
  • Thermometer;
  • Density altitude readout; and
  • Altimeter (presented in standard 100 /1000-foot needle-style with digital Kollsman window).

The diminutive, hand-held device has a diagonal screen-dimension of 2.5-inches, and weighs only 2.1-ounces. The Flight Sensor Pack is powered by a 700-milliamp-hour, USB-rechargeable, lithium battery with a run-time of approximately 4.5-hours on a two-hour charge.

The seminal feature of the Flight Sensor Pack is the smooth, quick, and accurate artificial horizon function, which is comparable to units selling at higher prices.

RADIANT also produces the Geiger CO Carbon-Monoxide Detector—a hand-held, auto-calibrating, USB-rechargeable unit that emits a real-time aural-alarm when carbon-monoxide levels exceed safe limits.

The Geiger CO Carbon-Monoxide detector is of particular value to pilots of both single-reciprocating-engined aircraft, and multi-reciprocating-engined aircraft equipped with nose canister-heaters.

AirVenture showgoers will find RADIANT Technology at BLD “D” booth 4111.
