Scenic Night Flights In Warbirds Offered In May

Flights Will Take Place In A Historic C-47 Skytrain

The CAF Airbase Arizona Flying Museum is offering two spectacular scenic night flights on May 7 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. which offer unique and inspiring views of the Valley of the Sun at night, including cityscapes and desert.

The flight will take place in a historic C-47 Skytrain, that once dropped a paratrooper assault on Sicily during World War II.

The aircraft, nicknamed Old Number 30, has been meticulously maintained and updated in flying condition and features an executive interior offering comfortable viewing of the valley from the air. Seats are $195 each. Minimum age for flights is five years old and those under 12 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian.

The desert camouflage aircraft will launch from historic Falcon Field in Mesa, Arizona, after passenger processing and flight briefing.

Passengers should plan on spending one to two hours at the CAF Airbase Arizona, including the flight. There is ample free parking.

The CAF Airbase Arizona Flying Museum, a Unit of the world-wide Commemorative Air Force, has operated from Mesa, Arizona for over 40 years and is rated a top attraction by TripAdvisor. The museum exhibits and speaker programs, national tour program and living history flights provide uniquely inspiring and educational experiences to young and old.
