Charlotte Douglas Holding Job Fair on Sept 23

North Carolina Employers Out in Force Hunting for Fresh Faces

Charlotte Douglas International Airport, is hosting a job fair for associated tenants and partners on September 23 at the Urban League of Central Carolinas, in North Carolina.

The move is an attempt to replenish their numbers at nearly every level of airport operation, from operations in CLT's own Aviation Department to friends like American Airlines, and large-scale concessions companies. The airport is one of the bigger employers in the Charlotte region, with more than 150,000 jobs created by their placement in the greater area. CLT remains the 7th busiest airport worldwide (counting aircraft movements), and the 10th busiest in North America (for pax traffic).

Two of the bigger names around Charlotte Douglas, HMSHost and Paradies Largardère, will be looking for new additions outside the usual gamut of aviation specialists. CLT staff note that they've invited a plethora of additional employers to the event, too. They plan on seeing "Hundreds of full- and part-time, seasonal and temporary positions" at every level, in everything from entry jobs to management.

Dress ought to be business professional, since employers will be holding onsite interviews and making conditional offers. Extra copies of the resume and some letters of recommendation should help, too. The fair runs from 0900 to 1200 on Saturday, Sept 23rd Urban League of Central Carolinas, at 740 West Fifth St, NC.
