Cessna's Pelton Chosen As 2006 GAMA Chairman

Adam Aircraft And Availl Newest Members Of Organization

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) Board of Directors has selected Cessna Aircraft Chairman, President and CEO Jack Pelton as its Chairman for 2006. Pelton was previously Vice Chairman of the organization, a position that will now be held by Goodrich Systems President John J. Grisik. 

Pelton (right) also serves as Chairman of GAMA's Flight Operations Policy Committee, and he will maintain that position as organization chairman.

Additionally, the following GAMA Board Members were appointed to serve in key leadership positions for the Association during 2006:

  • Alain M. Bellamare, President, Pratt & Whitney Canada, will chair GAMA’s Product Liability Committee.
  • Larry E. Williams, CEO, President and COO, Ballistic Recovery Systems, will chair GAMA’s Safety Affairs Committee.
  • Robert A. Wilson, President, Business and General Aviation, Honeywell, will chair GAMA’s Technical Policy Committee.

GAMA's Board of Directors also voted in two new members to its the organization, Dallas-based Availl -- the world’s largest independent provider of new aerospace parts and related aftermarket services, according to a GAMA release -- and Adam Aircraft, manufacturers of the A500 centerline thrust twin and the A700 VLJ.
