Wipaire Joins the Twin Otter Series 400 Support
Network
Viking Air of Victoria, BC, Canada has appointed Wipaire of
Saint Paul, Minnesota, as a Factory Endorsed Service Center
(“FESC”) to join the Twin Otter Series 400 and legacy
de Havilland support network. Wipaire was selected for their proven
track record providing quality products and service to the world
wide Twin Otter fleet. The FESC program develops strategic
partnerships with specialized industry professionals to provide
factory recognized service and warranty repairs for both the new
Viking Series 400 Twin Otters and legacy de Havilland fleet.
Wipaire has been engineering and manufacturing floats for over
fifty years, including Wipline model 13000 floats certified for the
Viking Series 400 Twin Otter, and has engineered several
Supplemental Type Certified modifications for legacy Twin Otters to
improve convenience and reliability. As a leading aircraft service
provider, Wipaire offers maintenance, repair, VIP interior design
and installation, and exterior paint refinishing all in one
convenient location for Twin Otter operators, and is recognized
worldwide for quality products and engineering expertise.

Development and general manager Maintenance Repair Organization,

Viking launched the new DHC-6 Twin Otter Series 400 production
program in 2007, and currently has a production backlog estimated
at over $350M. Viking provides OEM support for the worldwide fleet
of de Havilland heritage line of aircraft (DHC-1 through DHC-7),
and is part of Westerkirk Capital Inc., a Canadian private
investment firm with substantial holdings in the hospitality,
aviation and real estate sectors.
