Aero-Sports Update: AMA Expo Set For January

The World’s Largest Model Aviation Organization To Showcase Latest sUAS Technology, Demonstrations, and Products At AMA Expo

The latest and greatest advancements in small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) and model aircraft technology will be a major component of AMA Expo 2015. The annual event, scheduled January 9-11 in Ontario, CA offers attendees and organizations the opportunity to interact with exhibitors, field experts, and fellow model aviation pilots.

If you are looking for an aviation organization that has been around for a long time, check out the Academy of Model Aeronautics. Founded in 1936, is devoted to the safe operation of model aircraft. Many advancements in aviation started with model aircraft and you’ll find innovations that go far beyond the “toy” classification at AMA Expo 2015.

This premier exposition for model aviation is hosted by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, the world’s largest model flying organization, and is presented by Go Professional Xtreme Custom Cases. The show is open to the public, industry leaders, and anyone with an interest in UAS technology and the model aviation hobby.

This year’s Expo will include more than 200 exhibitor booths with hundreds of products and displays. You’ll be able to check out multirotors, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), recreational first-person view (FPV) tools, indoor flying demonstrations, and more! The 2015 AMA Expo will also include several presentations by field experts including AMA member Joe Bok of Aero Telemetry discussing his replication of the Kettering Bug, America’s first production drone.

The expo will also feature an enhanced multirotor flying demonstration area, sponsored by the International Radio Controlled Helicopter Association (IRCHA), children’s make-and-take activities, a large static building contest, a swap shop, and exhibits by NASA, the Soaring Society of America, and several other notable organizations.

Details about tickets, scheduling, the AMA Expo Speaker Series, and daily activities can be found on the AMA Expo website.
