Vector Aerospace Awarded $30 Million T56 Engine Overhaul Contract

Will Service Aircraft In North Africa And The Mid-East

Military aircraft powered by the Rolls-Royce T56 engine in the Middle East-North Africa (MENA) region will have those engines serviced and repaired by Vector Aerospace under a new contract announced Wednesday by one of the company's wholly-owned subsidiaries. The contract also covers "associated major assemblies."

Under the agreement, Vector will provide comprehensive T56 engine repair and overhaul support (including complete test procedures) for a fleet of Lockheed C-130H aircraft, with estimated total revenues of approximately $30 million over a three-year term. Technical repair and overhaul activities in support of the T56 contract will be supplied from the Vector Aerospace-United Kingdom facilities.

"Securing a new contract of this scope further establishes Vector as a key MRO service provider within the MENA region, particularly on the T56 engine," said John MacDougall, Vector's senior vice-president of sales and marketing. "This reinforces the Company's strategic focus on increasing its international market share with rotary and fixed-wing defence and security operators."
