Two Lost In SoCal King Air Downing

Beech A100 Crashes On Takeoff Near Chino

A Beechcraft King Air A100 crashed shortly after takeoff Tuesday from Chino Airport in Southern California, killing the two persons onboard.

FAA spokesman Ian Gregor told local media the aircraft departed Chino at approximately 0920, and impacted a field less than one mile west of the airport.

The aircraft came to rest inverted. The aircraft (type shown below) was bound for Visalia, and was on an IFR flight plan.

Officials are investigating whether fog may have been a factor. Gregor said there was no radio communication from the aircraft after it took off.

Identities of the victims have not been released.
