Devices Located At Wichita East Learning Center
FlightSafety International has received Level D qualification from the FAA for two Cessna Caravan aircraft simulators located at its Wichita East Learning Center. The simulators are equipped with Garmin G1000 and Garmin G600 avionics. Qualification by other authorities will be accomplished in accordance with Customer requirements.
“The Level D qualification of our Cessna Caravan simulators by the FAA demonstrates FlightSafety’s ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality training using advanced technology equipment that meets the highest standards,” said Daniel MacLellan, Senior Vice President, Operations.
The simulators feature FlightSafety’s latest advances in technology including the VITAL 1100 visual system. VITAL 1100 simulates the imagery and environmental conditions experienced during aircraft taxi, takeoff, en-route and tactical flight operations, visual navigational and instrument flight, and landing maneuvers. Simulated flight conditions include continuous time of day, night, dawn/dusk and a comprehensive set of weather features. Superior high definition micro texture provides additional scene resolution that gives crew members the necessary cues to train for virtually any altitude and position. Training benefits also include a whole-Earth environment and worldwide database that incorporates the latest terrain information with geo-specific satellite images for unprecedented realism.
FlightSafety offers training for Cessna aircraft at its Learning Centers in Atlanta, Georgia; Columbus, Ohio; Long Beach, California; Orlando, Florida; San Antonio, Texas; two locations in Wichita, Kansas; and at the Farnborough airport in the United Kingdom. FlightSafety has served owners and operators of Cessna aircraft since 1979.
