John Glenn Home Exhibit Enhanced

Center Starts Second Season April 2nd with New Exhibits, Additional Services

The John and Annie Glenn Historic Site and Exploration Center in New Concord (OH) will open for its second year on Wednesday, April 2nd. The John and Annie Glenn Historic Site and Exploration Center, dedicated last May, is housed in John Glenn's boyhood home. The home has been fully restored to its original condition, circa 1940s, and contains many items donated by the Glenns themselves. The facility also houses an extensive collection of space memorabilia.

Added this year are new exhibits depicting the U.S. aerospace program from its early times through the Columbia space shuttle disaster. The living history tours of the site continue this year, presenting interpretations of John Glenn's mother and other personalities from the 1940s, portrayed in character and period dress.

A new service this season is the availability of the downstairs visitors' center for meetings and dinner tours of 30 or fewer guests.
