NBAA Issues Background Paper on Onerous Congressional Proposals

Have YOU Contacted Congress?

NBAA continues to work, aggressively, to see that harmful Governmental effects on aviation matters are kept in check. The association has made available an online background paper that explains the basics of "The Tax Relief Act of 2005" (S. 2020), which contains two provisions that are harmful to business aviation.

NBAA recently made available a letter opposing the legislation for our Members to send to their Federal elected officials through NBAA's Contact Congress resource, and NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen has renewed his call for Members to contact Congress in opposition to the proposals.

"If enacted, these provisions will reduce business aviation activity and harm the tens of thousands of employees involved in business aviation," Bolen said.

"I thank the many NBAA Members who have already sent letters to Congress on this issue, and I urge all Members who have not yet voiced their concerns to take advantage of our Contact Congress resource to make their voices heard with their elected representatives."
