Embraer Launches Ahead System For The Phenom Jets

Aircraft Health Analysis And Diagnosis System Enhances Operational And Maintenance Management Decisions

Embraer has rolled out the AHEAD (Aircraft Health Analysis and Diagnosis) solution to Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 executive jet customers. The service was developed to assist maintenance and operational decision-making through the advanced integration of onboard systems, aircraft connectivity, technical publications, and web-based applications.

“Embraer is committed in providing its customers with solid, need-based service solutions, and AHEAD consolidates commercial aviation background adapted to executive market needs,” said Edson Carlos Mallaco, Vice President, Customer Support and Services – Embraer Executive Jets. “It can be easily accessed from anywhere, via the Internet, and through its enhanced monitoring, analysis, and diagnosis capabilities, provides up-to-date decision-making information to reduce aircraft return-to-service time.”

The AHEAD solution offers data extraction alternatives that vary from a simple, manual SD card download to an automatic transmission via wi-fi and/or an iridium satellite network. Depending on the customer’s preference, automatic transmission can be made both during and after the flight. Once onboard data is sent to Embraer, the AHEAD web-based tool saves and keeps it, integrating with technical publications and providing all information required to support specialist’s decisions. With the advanced diagnosis, operators will not only anticipate aircraft health conditions, but will also be able to follow, with a single click, the most effective troubleshooting suggested to fix the occurrence.

The different alternatives will give customers the convenience of automatic engine and aircraft maintenance data transmissions at the end of each flight, thus improving technical communication with their own maintenance team, and with Embraer’s service center network and Contact Center.

High utilization customers can also benefit from proper real time positioning notifications during takeoff and landing, as well as critical alerts during flight, to optimize their operational decisions and anticipate possible AOG (Aircraft On Ground) situations. Furthermore, AHEAD consolidates useful reports prepared from the aircraft’s historical data.
