Third Week In September So Designated By Congress In 2010
The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) is making plans to recognize National Aerospace Week, September 13-19, 2015, and have issued an invitation to individuals and organizations to join them in recognizing the enduring value of America’s aerospace and defense industry.
National Aerospace Week was established by the Aerospace Industries Association as an opportunity for the aerospace industry and its supporters to recognize the enormous contribution that the industry makes to America’s economy, competitiveness and national security. To support the effort, both houses of Congress issued a resolution on September 13, 2010 establishing the third week in September annually as National Aerospace Week.
Since its inception, National Aerospace Week has brought a unifying focus for interested groups and individuals nationwide to demonstrate their support for the industry and its workers.
"As in previous years, we need you and your organization to express your support for the industry by attending or hosting National Aerospace Week events, and communicating with elected officials – nationally and locally – about the value the enormous contribution that America’s aerospace and defense industry makes to our nation’s success and security," AIA said in a posting on its website. "And be sure to tell us about your events so we can post them to our national calendar where you will also find additional information and ideas to support your activities."
