Aero-TV: Deland Sport Aviation Showcase - Building On A Successful Formula

Sport Aviation Will Gather In Central Florida In November…

A new entry in the sportplane show circuit appeared last year with the first annual Deland Sport Aviation Showcase in Deland, FL just northeast of Orlando.

Jana Filip, Sport Aviation Administrator at Deland Municipal Airport, told ANN CEO and Editor in Chief Jim Campbell at AirVenture that the second annual event will be held on November 2-4, 2017, at the airport.

According to the show website, The DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase is an annual event designed to promote and support recreational flying, highlight the latest in sport aviation products and provide buyers and sellers with opportunities to connect. The showcase will be held at the DeLand Municipal Airport (KDED) in DeLand Florida. The showcase welcomes all aviation enthusiasts interested in affordable recreational flying, offering a special emphasis on homebuilts, light-sport aircraft and ultralights.

Filip said that the show has added an educational component spearheaded by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which has a campus in nearby Daytona, FL. There will be about a dozen outdoor booths dedicated to education at this year's event.

Tickets are on sale now via the Showcase website.
