Entire Line Of Embraer Bizjets Now Certified In That Country
Indonesia’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation granted type certification to Embraer Executive Jets for its Legacy 650 aircraft from on March 27, 2013, paving the way for the aircraft's entry into service. “With the certification of the Legacy 650 in Indonesia, all in-service Embraer Executive Jets are now certified in the country,” said Jose Eduardo Costas, Vice President, Sales – Asia Pacific, Embraer Executive Jets. “Our largest customer in the region, Premiair, is adding two Legacy 650s to its fleet, one new and one pre-owned.”
“This is a great addition to our fleet and offers our customers the flexibility of longer range,” said Ari D. Singgih, Managing Director, Premiair. “We now have the youngest fleet in Indonesia and the largest fleet of Embraer Executive Jets in the country thanks to a great partnership. Embraer Executive Jets are perfectly suited to Indonesia with its 17,000 islands stretched over 3,000 nautical miles from East to West. With an annual economic growth rate of 5+%, we expect to expand our business with the addition of the Legacy 650.”
The country is home to 12 Embraer aircraft, ranging from the Phenom 300 to the flagship Lineage 1000. Embraer represents one third of all executive jets in operation in Indonesia. The Legacy 600 is the most popular of them with seven units. When it takes delivery of the Legacy 650s, the Premiair fleet will include eight Embraer aircraft.
The Legacy 650 entered service in late 2010 and can accommodate up to 14 passengers. The jet’s range is 3,900 nautical miles, affording nonstop distances such as Jakarta to Beijing, Tokyo, Melbourne (Australia) or the Middle East.
