FAA Urges STRICT Compliance, Warns Of Possible Midairs

We noticed this on the FAA website, thanks to our friends at AOPA...

ALTITUDE DEVIATIONS DURING IFR DEPATURE PROCEDURES AT TETERBORO AIRPORT ARE CAUSING POTENTIAL MID AIR COLLISIONS. IF YOU PLAN TO OPERATE INTO OR OUT OF THE TETERBORO AIRPORT (KTEB), PLEASE UNDERSTAND, AND COMPLY WITH THE TETERBORO FIVE DEPARTURE PROCEDURE ALTITUDES.

There have been many altitude deviations by pilots flying this procedure, and they are causing. POTENTIAL MID AIR COLLISIONS WITH NEWARK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ARRIVALS.

It's the same situation that may have caused actor Morgan Freeman some big problems back in December. That's when he told World Entertainment News Network (WENN) that he'd been grounded for busting altitude minimums at Teterboro.
