Lilium GmbH, the German Aerospace company developing the VTOL Lilium Jet, announced that its technology demonstrator, Phoenix 2, has achieved main wing transition—which is to say, the aircraft successfully transitioned from hover to wing-borne flight.

From a physics/aerodynamic perspective, transition entails the transference of lift from vertical engine thrust to horizontal, laminar, relative-wind flow over the test vehicle’s wings. A Seattle man is using ingenuity and aviation technology to fight the rampant crime and worsening lawlessness afflicting his home town. Angry and disgusted after having his car broken into and his trailer stolen, Tony, a 39-year-old husband and father, began seeking means by which to locate his purloined property. His search led him to a Facebook group called PNW [Pacific Northwest] Stolen Cars— a forum in which victims of theft share information pertaining to their stolen property in hopes of recovering it. In the fall of 2021, Platform Aerospace launched its modified VA001 Vanilla UAV above Edwards Air Force Base in California, USA. This flight for 8 days 50 minutes, and 47 seconds across 12,2000 miles of continuous flight, set a world record for Group 3 Ultra-Long Endurance UAS (ULE UAS), and also piqued the interest of the United States Air Force.
