Bombardier Aerospace Returns To The Dubai Airshow

The Unique Cseries Pavilion Returns To Dubai Following The Aircraft’s Historic First Flight

Bombardier Aerospace will bring a broad lineup of its products to the biennial Dubai Airshow in the United Arab Emirates, which will be held at a new venue, the Dubai World Central Airport, from November 17 to 21.

Demonstrating what the planemaker says is its growing importance in the Middle East’s aviation sector, the company will showcase a diversified portfolio of its business and commercial aircraft, its technical expertise and its superior customer support and aircraft maintenance services. Bombardier’s static display will feature three aircraft including the wide body Challenger 605 jet, the large Global 6000, and the Q400 NextGen turboprop airliner.

In addition, closely following in the footsteps of the CSeries aircraft’s historic first flight on September 16, 2013, invited guests to Bombardier’s unique CSeries pavilion will be able to view the full-scale passenger cabin and cockpit demonstrators of this game-changing aircraft. Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has ordered 10 CSeries aircraft and has taken options on an additional six. The all-new CSeries family of aircraft is specifically designed for the 100- to 149-seat market segment.

Over the next 20 years, Bombardier forecasts 1,200 business jet deliveries in the Middle East, driven by the region’s oil exports, long distances between its major cities, and difficult surface transportation. Bombardier says it is continuing to grow its position in the business aviation industry. There are approximately 100 of Bombardier’s Learjet, Challenger and Global business jets in operation in the Middle East.

The fleet of Bombardier commercial aircraft in the Middle East and Africa is steadily growing with more than 200 Q-Series turboprops, CRJ regional jets and CSeries airliners now in service with, or on firm order from, approximately 50 customers and operators in the region. Bombardier’s Commercial Aircraft Market Forecast for the period 2013-2032, covering aircraft from 20 to 149 seats, predicts deliveries of 480 units to the Middle East and 700 to Africa over the forecast period.

Bombardier plans to have a Challenger 605 aircraft, a Global 6000 aircraft, and a Q400 NextGen aircraft on static display in Dubai.
