M7 Aerospace Names VP Of MRO Sales, Services

John Schildroth Previously Worked For EADS Airframe Services

M7 Aerospace has named John Schildroth Vice President of MRO Sales and Services, with responsibility for the company's Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul operations.

M7's MRO operation specializes in executive completions of business and regional jets, avionics installations (including full glass panels), cargo conversions and heavy maintenance of business and regional airline aircraft. The company also performs maintenance on U.S. government aircraft.

Before joining M7, Schildroth was President of Leading Edge Aviation Services, an MRO shop in Orange, CA. He was also previously Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for EADS Airframe Services (Airbus) in Lake Charles, LA. He is a veteran of service with the US Navy.

M7 Aerospace operates five business units, including Government Logistics Support Contracting; Manufacturing; Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul; Aircraft Parts and Service Support and Engineering Services.

Located on the San Antonio International Airport in San Antonio, TX, M7 Aerospace operates from a 426,000 sq. ft. complex formerly occupied by Fairchild Aircraft.

M7 Aerospace's aviation tradition of maintenance and repair, government logistic support and aerospace manufacturing began with the company's original founding more than 80 years ago as the Fairchild Aviation Corporation.

M7 Aerospace began operations on April 1, 2003 with approximately 175 employees. The company now employs nearly 500 people worldwide and more than 300 in San Antonio.
