Ryanair Files Suit Against Unknown Twitter Users For Extortion

Has Received Several Tweets Threatening To Blow Up Planes

Ryanair has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles ... but doesn't really know against whom the suit has been filed.

The LA Daily News reports that the airline has received several tweets recently threatening to blow up its airplanes. The perpetrators are identified as "Does 1-100" in the suit.

Ryanair has received Tweets from users @Stencill, Gunnexdog and @FinestLands with threats against its airplanes. The Tweets have included:

“Hey @Ryanair Pay $50000000 to Vinnie@Null.cat or I blow up 15 of your planes”

“hello @Ryanair, you have 15 minutes before I commit the biggest terror attack the UK has even seen on one of your planes. Be ready”

“I HAVE A BOMB ON YOUR PLANE @RYANAIR.”

One even threatened a major terror attack. “hello Ryanair, you have 15 minutes before I commit the biggest terror attack the UK has even seen on one of your planes. Be ready,” that Tweet said.

Ryanair is seeking unspecified damages from the users, and an injunction requiring the users to take down their Tweets. "Ryanair has been damaged in an amount to be proven at trial," the suit says.

The defendants have 30 days to file a written response.
