NATA Announces Strategic Relationship With IFBOA

Association Says Result Will Be Expanded Benefits To GA Businesses Of All Sizes

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) and the Independent Fixed Base Operators Association (IFBOA) has formed a strategic long-term relationship in their efforts to better serve general aviation businesses.  This relationship will provide expanded benefits to general aviation businesses of all sizes and will provide a stronger voice for industry before federal and state legislators and regulators.

“The industry has made great strides in advocacy and safety training under the leadership of NATA, its President Tom Hendricks and his executive team. IFBOA’s strategic relationship with NATA not only strengthens advocacy efforts for independent general aviation businesses but also for the entire aviation business industry. We look forward to working with the NATA team to continue providing resources to aviation businesses that increase their marketability and profitability,” stated IFBOA’s Founder & Executive Director John Wraga.

“We are very pleased to work with IFBOA’s management team in expanding our collective outreach to the independent operator market. Both associations provide a wide array and highly effective suite of services and benefits for members.  This strategic alignment will greatly benefit the interests of the general aviation community and ensure a more cohesive voice for aviation businesses on key policy issues. 2015 is a year of change and growth for NATA and this new relationship is the first of several coming strategic improvements for NATA and IFBOA members,” stated NATA President and CEO Thomas L. Hendricks.

IFBOA was founded to serve all types of aviation businesses, by providing resources and buying power to compete more effectively, and to increase the marketability and profitability of members through the interchange of knowledge, enhanced purchasing capabilities, shared marketing and common objectives.

NATA, founded in 1940, serves as the voice of aviation business through advocacy with regulators, legislators, the media and other decision makers in Washington, D.C. and throughout the United States, educating them about the vital role aviation businesses play in the overall economy and in local communities.  The association also promotes safety in the industry, providing the industry leading NATA Safety 1st Training Programs, other ancillary programs and educational workshops, conferences, and a platform for communication between general aviation businesses.

Over the coming months, IFBOA and NATA will release more information regarding this strategic relationship.
