L.J. Aviation Opens New Hangar At KLBE To Finish Year Of Expansion

Also Opens Completely Renovated Maintenance Facility At Latrobe, PA

L.J. Aviation has completed construction on its new hangar at KLBE (Latrobe, PA), finishing a year of expansion on a strong note.

The new hangar measures 30,000 square feet with 51-foot ceilings. The door size allows for aircraft up to a Boeing Business Jet, just one of a select few private hangars in the U.S. to boast such an accommodation. Along with its size, L.J. Aviation’s hangar features brand new LED lighting, Big Ass Fans, a fire suppression system and a new 70,000 square foot ramp.

“The opening of our new hangar allows us to better serve more business and a broader array of business,” said Edward Kilkeary, Sr., L.J. Aviation president. “We’re thrilled to offer our customers some of the best amenities in the industry and look forward to serving the new business this hangar will allow us to attract with our unwavering dedication and commitment to aviation.”

In addition to the hangar, L.J. Aviation completely renovated its new maintenance facility on the field in 2015. At nearly 20,000 square feet, the FBO added 4,000 square feet of office space to house its maintenance, inspection and parts departments, all equipped with state-of-the-art technology, for more efficient operations and service.

L.J. Aviation also provides its customers with convenience including operation as a DCA Gateway, 24-hour availability, WSI Pilot Brief II, charter services, lounges and business accommodations.
