"In appreciation for 15 years of excellent leadership and support of the aeronautics program, we have named this aircraft after President Cartwright."

Source: Dr. Issac Richmond Nettey, senior academic program director of aeronautics at Kent State University, on naming the school aviation department's latest aircraft, a new Piper PA44 Seminole, after retiring university president Carol A. Cartwright. During her tenure at KSU, Cartwright garnered high marks for her support of her school's aeronautics program.
