The 6th Annual CAFE Electric Aircraft Symposium will be held
April 27, 28, 2012 at the Flamingo Resort & Spa in Santa Rosa,
California. EAS VI has again confirmed an outstanding faculty that
will include the winner of the Green Flight Challenge, debut of the
first electric LSAs, breakthroughs from leading battery makers, the
world electric speed record and the latest on prop and wheel

meeting’s focus will be on the best hardware. CAFE also will
debut the Green Flight Challenge II at EAS VI.
The first day of the Symposium will feature opening remarks at
breakfast from CAFE Foundation President Brien Seeley, which will
segue into a discussion of the lessons learned from the Green
Flight Challenge. Other Friday sessions will include a mid-morning
presentation from the FAA on licensing of Electric Aircraft, and an
overview of Green Flight Challenge II at lunch, again from Brien
Seeley.
The Saturday sessions will begin with a keynote speech from Dr.
Winfried Wilcke, Chairman of the IBM Research Lab, on Advancing the
Lithium-Air Battery for EVs. Saturday afternoon will feature CAFE
Electric Flight Demonstration at STS, including GFC Team
Feuling’s
