Aviation Partners Hawker 800SP To 'Wing It' at NBAA 2003

After 3 years in the works, Aviation Partners Inc. Hawker 800SP Blended Winglet program will soon become a reality with FAA certification expected in the next 30 days. Operators of Raytheon Hawker 800s will soon be able to dramatically upgrade performance, utility and coast-to-coast capabilities of their aircraft with revolutionary Blended Winglet Technology(TM).

The Hawker 800SP will fly 30 minutes longer, 180 nm farther, and with a 2000 ft higher initial cruise altitude than a standard Hawker 800. High/hot airport performance (2nd segment climb) is improved with Blended Winglets and operators will enjoy quicker climb to altitude and reduction of step climbs on many mission profiles.

Already a success on the Gulfstream II and Boeing Business Jet, as well as on series 700 and 800 Next Generation Boeing 737s, patented Aviation Partners, Inc. Blended Winglet Technology is available for the Hawker 800 at $350,000 (installed). After certification, the price will increase to $395,000 (installed).

"Ever since we exhibited a prototype of the Hawker 800SP at NBAA 2002, we've had a constant stream of interest from the Hawker 800 community," says Aviation Partners CEO Joe Clark who has advance deposits for 15 Hawker 800 Blended Winglet shipsets. "Raytheon has a legendary business jet in the Hawker 800 and our program will make this great aircraft even more productive."

"We anticipate Performance Enhancing well over 60% of the Hawker 800," says Aviation Partners', Vice President, Kevin Washington. "The performance benefits of this technology are so compelling, particularly for Hawker operators with coast-to-coast requirements, that we're already gearing up production rates to meet anticipated demand."
