NBAA '04: Mooney Launches New Limited Freedom Edition

New 2005 versions of the Ovation 2 GX and Bravo GX now available

Mooney Airplane Company has announced the arrival of the "Freedom Edition" aircraft.  This limited version, which features a host of widely-sought options, will be available on 2005 models of the Mooney Bravo GX and Ovation2 GX at 2004 pricing.

Each aircraft will be equipped with a Goodrich WX-500 Stormscope, compatible with the standard Garmin G1000 panel, a custom N-number, a 115.7 cubic foot oxygen system, extended range fuel tanks which increase capacity from 89 to 102 gallons of useable fuel, and AMSAFE inflatable (airbag) seatbelts for the front seats.

The Ovation 2 GX offers a platinum engine which features precision balanced components, fabricated to exacting standards, a five-year new engine warranty, and a Platinum Level Aviator Services Program that is free for the life of the engine. In addition, the Bravo GX will also include REIFF engine preheat and two Bose headsets.

"The Freedom Edition is our way of showing the world that Mooney truly is the symbol of performance, value and efficiency," said David Copeland, vice president of sales and marketing of Mooney Airplane Company. "With an industry-leading combination of range, speed and operating economy, Mooney airplanes provide their owners with a real sense of freedom and flexibility. There's something very liberating about having such a capable and reliable airplane at your disposal," he added.

The Freedom Edition of both models will be produced in limited quantities. Complete with all of the aforementioned options, the Ovation 2 GX will sell for $409,950 while the Bravo GX will have a suggested list price of $459,950. "Both are real values, especially when you compare them to the 2005 list prices of the Ovation 2 GX and Bravo GX, without options, of $418,150 and $469,200, respectively. That's a savings of more than $30,000," noted Copeland.

"It all boils down to Mooney's dedication to giving our customers the opportunity to own something truly special," Copeland said.

The Freedom Edition fleet is available on a first-come, first-served basis. First deliveries are expected in January 2005.
