Erickson Appoints Michael Williams To Serve Alaska

Brings 26 Years Of Leadership Experience To Erickson’s Alaska Presence

Erickson Incorporated has named Michael Williams as the company’s Alaska Regional Manager. Erickson is expanding its presence in the Alaskan market and has created this leadership position to directly serve local customers.

In his role as the Alaska Regional Manager, Mr. Williams will direct day-to-day activities for all Alaska operations from Erickson’s Merrill Field Hanger in Anchorage and will promote future expansion in the region. The company currently has facilities in Anchorage, Nome and Deadhorse. Erickson has more than 50 years of experience serving Alaska, and currently operates locally supporting customers in the areas of firefighting, oil and gas operations support, cargo and passenger transport, and power line transmission aerial support.

Michael Williams has extensive history successfully managing teams for legacy and start-up projects, and has considerable consulting experience in business and process improvement. Prior to joining Erickson, Mr. Williams managed a remote helicopter base for in Equatorial Guinea, Africa, and was responsible for base business and flight operations, customer relationships, financial and asset management, and safety. Mr. Williams has also worked for Safran Group, where he served as Vice President Customer Support for Sagem Avionics and Operations Manager for Turbomeca Helicopter Engines.

In addition, Mr. Williams served as Director of Manufacturing Operations for etkonUSA, and was Vice President of Operations at Chicago Title and Trust. Before entering private industry, Mr. Williams served in the United States Air Force as a Structural Engineering Specialist. Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Business Management from the University of Texas-Arlington, and attended the United States Air Force Academy.
