Don't Miss This! ANN's Exclusive Interview With EAA's Jack Pelton

An ANN Exclusive Interview With Jack Pelton, Chairman of the Board at EAA

This is a Special Report for Aero-News for Friday, October 26, 2012. Thursday was an interesting day at ANN... as we finally had the chance to clear away some of the confusion and get a look at the possible future of the EAA.

It’s been a week of upheaval at EAA in Oshkosh that began early Monday with the announced immediate resignation of President and CEO Rod Hightower, followed rapidly by the election of Jack Pelton, recently retired Chairman, president and CEO of Cessna Aircraft, as Chairman of the Board at EAA.

ANN wanted to know just what was going on in Oshkosh and went straight to the top for an exclusive interview with Pelton. He began by saying the events of Monday morning were in part outflow from reactions heard at AirVenture… and then proceeded to do what he does best... talk frankly and honestly. Click on the highlighted link above (or the link below, in the FMI) to hear the interview.

Jack discussed all the major issues...

  • Rod Hightower’s resignation,
  • Pelton’s own election as Chairman,
  • J. Mac McClellan's future, as well as that of the magazine
  • The future of AirVenture, itself
  • And the overall 'rebuilding' of the EAA
