Air Niugini Pilots Training At CAE Perth Training Center In Australia

Expands Agreement For Fokker F100 Pilot Training

At the 2017 Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS), CAE announced the expansion of its agreement with Air Niugini to support the airline's Fokker F100 pilot training needs in the region. Pilots began training in the second half of 2017 and CAE instructors are currently delivering type-rating training at the CAE Perth Training Center in Australia.

"We are delighted to build on our relationship with CAE and to entrust the world-leader in commercial aviation training with Fokker F100 pilot training," said Captain Samiu Taufa, Executive Manager Flight Operations Air Niugini. "We are confident that CAE instructors will play a fundamental role in ensuring our crew receive an outstanding training experience".

"CAE is proud to provide training to Air Niugini's pilots flying the airline's Fokker F100 aircraft", said Nick Leontidis, CAE's Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions. "We are privileged to support our airline customers in Asia, Oceania and Australia as they experience an increasing need for high-quality pilot training for the next decade".

Air Niugini has been a CAE customer since 2016.
