Bell Secures More Than 100 Commitments Early At HELI-EXPO 2014

Buyers Lining Up For The New Jet Ranger X

With the reveal of the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X and a full-size mock up of the Bell 525 Relentless in search-and-rescue configuration, Bell Helicopter certainly made a splash at HELI-EXPO 2014. And by the end of the first day, Bell completed more than 100 signings that included the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X, 407GX, Bell 412EP and Bell 429.

“We have been working harder than ever to engage our customers at every stage of aircraft development, from customer-driven designs all the way to our industry-leading customer support and service,” said John Garrison, president and CEO of Bell Helicopter. “These orders are the result of our commitment to put the customer at the center of everything we do while ensuring we deliver the products, services and support they need.”

The signings to date include:

  • 94 letters of intent for the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X
  • 5 orders for the Bell 407GX
  • 3 orders for the Bell 412EP
  • 1 order for the Bell 429

At this year’s HELI-EXPO, Bell Helicopter opened HELI-EXPO 2014 with a number of new announcements and models, headlined by the official introduction of the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X, the newly named aircraft designed for the short light single market. Three different aircraft mockups are on display at the booth and a new online ordering system was also launched to the public. In addition, the booth included a new mockup of the Bell 525 Relentless configured for search and rescue missions, a Bell 407GX, and a Bell 429WLG.
