Collings Foundation To Offer Vietnam Memorial Flights In 2008

Will Feature Three Storied Fighter/Bombers

The Collings Foundation tells ANN the Vietnam Memorial Flight performance is available for the 2008 air show season. The Memorial Flight features three of the most formidable Vietnam era fighter/bomber aircraft.

According to the Foundation, during the display a F-4D Phantom II, TA-4J Skyhawk and A-1D Skyraider will streak across the sky in a performance that is truly captivating. The exciting trio of historic aircraft will thrill air show crowds with individual overlapping flight demonstrations, which culminate in multiple formation passes.

The individual flight demonstrations showcase the great strengths of each aircraft, and will offer show audiences over 30 minutes of nonstop action.

Unlike the DoD support requirements and strict schedules of the USAF Heritage and US Navy Legacy flights, the Collings Foundation Vietnam Memorial Flight is available to air shows that do not have DoD support. The Collings Foundation notes it can create a demo package that is specifically tailored to a particular air show's needs.
