Airborne-Flight Training 08.26.21: iAero Initiative, SEMO Flt School, Virtual HS

iAero Airways has provided new hire training to the first graduates of their partnership with Southwest Airlines Destination 225° Employee Pathway.

The first two cadets now serve as first officers for iAero Airways. The pilots received their ATP certificate along with a Boeing 737 type rating from the FAA. The initiative between iAero and Southwest provides the opportunity for aspiring pilots to meet their goals and ultimately take flight with Southwest. Southeast Missouri State University has a new aviation program and this semester’s students will be happy to be learning in new aircraft. The program consists of a four-year degree, with the majority of student's training done within two years, according to Miranda Sullivan, the assistant professor for the university's Pro Pilot Ground School. Excel High School has partnered with Pilot Institute to offer private pilot and drone pilot training to its students, giving them an early chance for success. The online high school is regionally and nationally accredited from its base location in Minnesota.Students will receive two credits upon completion and take the course over four semesters. The program is designed to familiarize students with the knowledge required to pass the FAA’s written exam. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
