Aero-News: Quote of the Day
ANN's Quote of the Day usually derives
from current news, though we reserve the right to pick quotes out
of history that have a bearing on the day's events and
issues.
Sometimes, you'll find them timely and in keeping with the
content of the day's news... and sometimes, they'll just be
thought-provoking.
Reader suggestions and comments are welcome... and if
particularly intriguing, timely, or poignant, may themselves
become future Quotes of the Day.
Let us hear from you, folks!
Aero-News Quote of the Day
"The horrible events of 9/11 injured this country but
did not kill it. Like the human body itself, our system is robust
and has a remarkable facility to heal itself. Remember the stock
market opening within a week? Flying resumed in three days? The
massive effort to clean up Ground Zero and return that area to
business? We must remember all of the victims, [their loved ones]
and those who were there and can never forget what they
experienced. And then, move forward to some unknown point in the
future when we can look back on another challenge
met."

readers who responded to our request Friday for thoughts on how the
events of September 11, 2001 changed the world we live in...
particularly the flying world. Your responses ran the full gauntlet
of emotion and opinion: heartbreak, anger, fear -- of both the
terrorists, and the government security measures enacted to curtail
their efforts -- and, perhaps most telling... hope.
