Boeing Delivers Korean Air's First 787-9 Dreamliner

Flag Carrier Becomes First In Korea To Operate The Type

The first 787-9 to be operated by a Korean airline has been delivered to Korean Air by Boeing. The airline is scheduled to launch domestic flights to Jeju from Seoul (Gimpo) for a month as part of the required certification period, before launching long-haul international routes to Toronto, Madrid, and Zurich later this year.

BTS Releases December 2016 Passenger Airline Employment Data

Number Of Jobs Up 3.7 Percent Over December 2015

U.S. scheduled passenger airlines employed 3.7 percent more workers in December 2016 than in December 2015, according to the recently-released U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) report. December was the highest monthly FTE total (416,337) since March 2008 (416,457) and was the 38th consecutive month that U.S. scheduled passenger airline full-time equivalent (FTE) employment exceeded the same month of the previous year.
