Bombardier had a busy month, publicizing a number of corporate changes, orders, and happenings as they readjust to a changing jet market. The company has renamed its Specialized Aircraft division into Bombardier Defense, reflecting its expansion and addressing a key growth area for their portfolio of mission-focused aircraft. The arm has confirmed that it received a firm order for additional modified Global 6000 aircraft from the USAF in support of its Battlefield Airborne Communications Node program.

Sun Country Airlines Announces Suspension of Service to Honolulu, Fairbanks

Customers with flights to Hawaii and Alaska found themselves refunded this week after the carrier elected to suspend service amid crew shortages. Their apology only extended as far as the refund itself, not providing any additional reimbursement to extras like prepaid rentals, hotel accommodations, or tickets purchased through other carriers and affiliates. Customers received a message detailing the outage and noting a hoped return to service on the line for 2023.

Interior Outfitting Begins At Freshly Completed Facility

The first production G600 jet completed at their Dallas, Texas facility has been delivered, showing a quick response to the continuing boom in bizjet demand. The new location was expanded in June of last year to provide additional capacity for specialized interior outfitting in the company's new production jets. Customers shopping the G600 have a plethora of options, being able to configure a floor plan with separate rooms, living areas, crew quarters, passenger seating, and galleys to suit their particular mission. ...Exited The Left Side Of The Runway, Went Into A Ditch Where The Landing Gear Impacted A Sign

On April 3, 2022, about 1755 mountain daylight time, a Piper PA-28-235, N9119W sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Calhan, Colorado. The pilot and two passengers sustained serious injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. Video surveillance of the accident showed the airplane cross the runway threshold and it remained airborne until past the 1st taxiway and appeared to touchdown near the 2nd taxiway before it bounced.
