Celebrating a 100th birthday is monumental in itself, but for retired Col. Charles E. McGee, shortly after this celebration he would reach yet another milestone in his successful career. SB>1 Defiant Progrom Exceeds 100 Knots

Hopes to Eventually Reach 250 Knots....

In a quest to prove out what’s designed to be the world’s fastest, most technologically advanced military helicopter, the SB>1 DEFIANT dashed through another major milestone, exceeding 100 knots airspeed in level flight. Teams at Boeing and Sikorsky are flight testing DEFIANT as part of the US Army’s risk reduction efforts for future vertical lift aircraft. DEFIANT also performed maneuvers at up to 30 degree bank angles during the flight.

Boeing Delivers the First F/A-18 Service Life Modification Jet to Navy

Service Life Modification Adds Extra Life, New Capabilities To Aircraft

When you care enough to send the very best... Boeing has given an F/A-18 a new lease on life after delivering the first Super Hornet under the Service Life Modification program to the Navy. The second SLM jet will deliver by the end of the month, and Boeing will deliver the third F/A-18 in April. The initial Super Hornets delivered from SLM will extend the service life from 6,000 to 7,500 flight hours. Future modification plans in the early 2020s will enable the jets to fly 10,000 hours and incorporate the new Block III capabilities.

B-29 Doc 'History Restored' Tour to Land in Cincinnati, OH

B-29 Doc History Restored Tour Lands in Cincinnati, OH, this May 1-3, 2020

Doc, one of only two flying B-29s, will arrive at Lunken Airport Thursday, April 30, and will be available for warbird rides and ground and flight deck tours during the three-day event, Friday through Sunday. The tour stop in Cincinnati will be hosted by Cincinnati Warbirds EAA Squadron 18, which will also have vintage warbird aircraft on display and available for ride flights. Military vehicles, history exhibits and meet-and-greet opportunities with WWII veterans will also be available. “This will be our first major event of 2020 as we commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the end of WWII in which the B-29 played a major role,” said Jim Stitt, Cincinnat
