The Army last week asked industry to provide preliminary design review proposals for the Improved Turbine Engine Program, or ITEP, which will eventually replace the existing General Electric T700-GE-701C/D engines that now power AH-64 Apache and UH-60 Black Hawk aircraft.

The Air Force Association (AFA) presented its 2015 John R. Alison Award to the Lockheed Martin F-22 program at the annual Air and Space Conference and Technology Exposition, Sept. 14-16 in National Harbor, Maryland. The U.S. Navy has awarded a $1.57M contract to Calspan Aerospace to provide a next-generation Variable Stability System (VSS) for a U.S. Naval Test Pilot School UH-60L Blackhawk helicopter. The U.S. Naval Test Pilot School (USNTPS) trains engineering test pilots, flight test officers, and flight test engineers to conduct test and evaluation at the Aircraft Division of the Naval Air Warfare Center.
