Aero-News has learned the Civil Air Patrol’s Board of
Governors, in a teleconference Tuesday night, voted to remove Maj.
Gen. Antonio J. Pineda from his position as CAP national
commander.

BAE Systems unveiled Wednesday its new remotely operated
turreted weapon system, the Remote Guardian System (RGS), designed
to provide 360 degrees of suppressive fire for the Marine Corps
V-22 tiltrotor aircraft.
The US Navy's Training Air Wing 2 was expected to resume flight
operations Tuesday, one day after a T-45 Goshawk crashed about two
miles north of the Naval Air Station (NAS) Kingsville, on land
owned by the King Ranch in Texas.
The Department of Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO)
announced Tuesday the remains of two US servicemen, missing in
action from the Vietnam War, have been identified and will be
returned to their families for burial with full military honors.
They are Capt. Warren R. Orr Jr., U.S. Army, of Kewanee, IL; and
Airman 1st Class George W. Long, US Air Force, of Medicine, KS.
