Bombardier Aerospace announced this week it has extended an
existing agreement with Savannah Air Center as a preferred
completion center for Global 5000 and Global Express XRS jets. With
this contract, Bombardier has secured capacity for a minimum of 12
addtional Global business jets over the next three years.
Now, this is interesting. Delta Air Line announced
Wednesday it has signed a 50/50 cost- and revenue-sharing agreement
with Air France-KLM, to operate transatlantic flights under the
Open Skies agreement signed earlier this year between the US and

NASA is extending, for a fifth time, the activities of the Mars
Exploration Rovers, Spirit and Opportunity. The decision keeps the
trailblazing mobile robotic pioneers active on opposite sides of
Mars, possibly through 2009. This extended mission and the
associated science are dependent upon the continued productivity
and operability of the rovers.
Eaglesoft Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche Package for FS9 goes
'Team Eaglesoft,' a pretty highly-regarded developer of
Microsoft Flight Simulator Aircraft Add-Ons, tells ANN that their
Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche Package for FS 2004 has just been
released and is now available for purchase. Eaglesoft has
attempted, within simulator limitations, to model a faithful
replica of Roy Wilbanks' PA-30 Twin Comanche.
The FAA has published the final version of a rule designed to
eliminate threats from "Large Flocking Birds" (say that VERY
slowly) and has drafted new certification standards by which engine
manufacturers can prove their ability to deal with this feathered
As a result of its first investigation of an accident involving
an unmanned aircraft (UA), the National Transportation Safety Board
has issued a total of 22 safety recommendations to address what
NTSB Chairman Mark V. Rosenker said were "a wide range of safety
