Kansas State University at Salina's Student Life Center will
open to aviation students, faculty, and staff in mid-October.
It will be home to Cessna Lounge, a student lounge area
complete with big screen tvs, video game consoles, pool tables and
ping pong tables. A computer station is located in the SLC
lobby.
A three-year-long effort to negotiate a new contract for Air
Traffic Controllers represented by NATCA neared conclusion on
Wednesday, when controllers nationwide voted to ratify a new
three-year contract.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on Thursday hosted a
meeting near New York's LaGuardia Airport to discuss proposed
changes aimed at reducing ripple-effect delays caused by congestion
in the Northeast, especially into and out of the New York Class B
airspace.
