Airplane Reportedly Broke Up In Flight During Instruction, Three Fatally Injured
The NTSB has released a preliminary report from an accident involving a Cessna 172 on a training flight in Washington State that resulted in the fatal injury of the three people on board the aircraft.

Two new members of the NTSB have been confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Jennifer Homendy, a Democratic staffer on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and Bruce Landsberg, former president of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, were easily confirmed by the Senate on July 24.
