The NTSB has released its preliminary report from an accident involving a Cessna TU206C aircraft that experienced engine problems August 13 during a skydiving flight. While the aircraft sustained substantial damage in the off-airport landing, those on board suffered only minor injuries.

The glamour and allure of seeing the world's first flying car being delivered to a client is garnering a lot of attention. Currently Google is seeing over 135,000 monthly searches for the term "Flying Car" in North America alone.
A resolution considered Monday night by the Santa Monica City Council would make it a policy of the city to close the airport to aviation uses "as soon as legally permitted", with a goal of ending aviation operations there by 2018.
